Triplanetary is a planet fiction novel written by Edward Elmer Smith, an American novelist ed as the father of space opera for his science fiction writings of Lensman and Skylark series novels such as First Lensman, Gray Lensman, Children of the Lens, The Skylark of Space, and Subspace Encounter.

Triplanetary narrates the story of superior race Nevians, who have invented the power of Atom, but running short of tons of iron for their ships and power plants. Their space ship unveils the huge reserves of iron in the earth. To extract the iron from earth, they have invented a special ray, which extract iron reserves from any surface, buildings and even from human bodies. To protect the earth from Nevians’s deadly rays, Conway Costigan a military agent has been deputed. Did he save the earth?
