A sequel to Lucy's The Story Girl, The Golden Road narrates further progress of the children Beverly, Felix, Peter, and Sara and Janet's children.  The author has developed the novel with many characters and theme is about the kids transformation to their adulthood. As the novel progress Peter falls in love with Felicity and  Beverly develops relationship with Sara, though the novels ends up whether they get married.
